Airports of Thailand posts further strong passenger traffic growth

THAILAND. Airports of Thailand (AoT) has posted a +22.8% year-on-year rise in international passengers to 3,669,642 for the month of July.

The figures cover AoT’s entire national airport network, which is made up of Suvarnabhumi and Don Muang in Bangkok, as well as Phuket, Chiang Mai, Hat Yai and Chiang Rai.

For the first seven months of 2011, international passenger traffic across the network rose by +20.82% to 24,963, 991.

Flagship location Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport recorded a +19.82% rise in international passengers to 3,278,017 during July.

Total international passengers in the year to date at Suvarnabhumi hit 22,068,257, an increase of +19.7% over the previous corresponding period.
