USA. American Express has opened a Centurion Lounge at Salt Lake City International Airport, marking the travel hub’s first proprietary lounge by a credit card issuer and the 31st location in the Centurion Lounge network.
Set in nearly 18,000sq ft, the luxury space is located in Concourse B by Gate 31 and is designed to reflect Utah’s natural landscapes and artistic culture.

Features include a year-round outdoor terrace overlooking the Wasatch Mountains, a ski lodge-inspired Hearth Room, a Blue Roast by American Express coffee bar and a full bar and buffet.
The space also incorporates artworks by local artists such as Erin Blundell and Rebecca Whitaker.
Elevated dining from The Culinary Collective
Food & beverage menus have been curated by The Culinary Collective by The Centurion Lounge. They feature rotating seasonal dishes from James Beard Award-winning Resy chefs Kwame Onwuachi, Mashama Bailey, Mike Solomonov and Sarah Grueneberg.
Dishes include Caribbean Wedding Soup, Farro Pilaf, Grilled Cabbage with Tehina, Harissa and Mint, and Earl Grey Panna Cotta with Gingered Apple and Maple Oat Crumble.

The cocktail menu has been created by SagaHospitality Group Bar Director Harrison Ginsberg. Offerings include the Park City Sling, made with gin, tart cherry and lemon.
A full-service Blue Roast coffee bar features espresso drinks, cold brew and seasonal specialities, complemented by a naturally lit workspace.
Utah landscapes design inspiration
The lounge design draws inspiration from Utah’s mountains, salt flats and open skies, using warm, earthy tones and natural textures.
A glass-flake ceiling installation at the entrance evokes the state’s salt flats, while a constellation-inspired lighting installation by Lindsey Adelman highlights the coffee bar area.

Key features include the 360-degree fireplace in the Hearth Room, an outdoor terrace with mountain views and a wellness-focused Recovery Room equipped with compression boots and massage guns.
Additional facilities include meeting rooms, a VIP room for Centurion Members, premium shower suites, private phone nooks and high-speed wifi.
American Express Travel President Audrey Hendley said, “With strong year-round Card Member demand for travel to Salt Lake City, expanding the Centurion Lounge network here is a natural fit.
“The lounge offers a refined, welcoming environment that provides eligible Card Members a premium place to relax and recharge.”

Salt Lake City Department of Airports Executive Director Bill Wyatt commented: “The Centurion Lounge is a welcome addition to Salt Lake City International Airport.
“American Express is refining the traveller experience with elevated service, curated amenities and gourmet dining, making the journey through Salt Lake City truly exceptional.”
American Express said the opening strengthens its Global Lounge Collection, which now includes more than 1,550 lounges worldwide.
The company is continuing its network expansion, with upcoming Centurion Lounges planned for Newark Liberty International and Amsterdam Schiphol.
There are also plans for a new ‘Sidecar by The Centurion Lounge’, a small-format concept scheduled for Harry Reid International Airport. ✈
