INDIA. Amrut Distilleries has unveiled its Kadhambam single malt whisky exclusively with Hyderabad Duty Free at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. It was introduced in partnership with premium spirits distributor Monika Alcobev and the Wine & Spirits Club of India (WSCI).
WSCI Founder Malay Rout, who attended the launch in Hyderabad last week, commented: “Understanding the potential of the airport, this India-exclusive edition is going to be a delight for single malt enthusiasts.

“Cheers to the entire team of Hyderabad Duty Free, Monika Alcobev and team Amrut for this exemplary launch.”
Amrut Kadhambam takes centre stage through an immersive pop-up at the airport. The name ‘Kadhambam’, a Tamil word meaning mixture or combination, reflects the whisky’s maturation process.
The Indian single malt is aged in ex-Amrut rum, sherry and brandy casks before being married in refill bourbon casks to achieve a balanced liquid. ✈
