The Nespresso pop-up boutique in the T2 domestic terminal will operate until August |
AUSTRALIA. In another of several planned Australian airport firsts, Sydney Airport is launching a Nespresso pop-up boutique in the T2 domestic terminal.
The conceptual coffee hub will open on 28 May, showcasing a wide array of coffee machines and products, and offer customers the chance to sample Nespresso Grand Crus coffees.
The pop-up boutique will operate until August, forming part of a refreshed terminal that has a major focus on airport and/or Australian firsts in retail and food & beverage*.
The concept store will feature a Grand Crus wall, displaying the full 23 Grand Crus coffees range. Coffee specialists will be on hand to guide customers while the boutique will also provide an environmentally friendly capsule recycling collection point for existing customers.
Sydney Airport General Manager, Retail Glyn Williams said: “One thing our customers expect from their airport experience is a choice of quality coffee options. We have exceptional coffee retailers at both T1 and T2 and we’re excited to partner with a respected coffee brand like Nespresso for the winter period.”
Nespresso Australia & Oceania General Manager Loïc Réthoré said: “We receive great feedback from club members regarding their boutique experience. The new Nespresso pop-up boutique will increase the accessibility of our coffee experience for people travelling via the airport.”
*NOTE: Look out for an extensive interview with Glyn Williams in coming weeks on The Moodie Report.com in which he speaks about the airport’s commitment to seeking “first to Australia” and “first to airport” concepts and brands.
