APTRA partners Generation Research for Asia Pacific Index

ASIA PACIFIC. The Asia Pacific Travel Retail Association (APTRA) has forged a partnership with Generation Research to create the Generation Index Asia Pacific, available exclusively to APTRA members through its website.

The summary reports will present sales progress in the region across all sales channels and product categories. The association said results will be displayed on a month by month basis, with graphs showing comparisons with previous year-to-date sales figures.

Members will also be able to discuss the data with Generation analysts on an individual basis.

The reports will be made available alongside other APTRA research, which includes recent consumer behaviour studies and a comprehensive analysis of the low cost airline sector in Asia Pacific.

APTRA President Jaya Singh said: “One of the missions of our industry association is to generate information exchange and provide research for the benefit of the region’s duty free and travel retail industry. We have seen tremendously positive response from our members to date following the research reports we have commissioned in recent months.

“Through this partnership with Generation, APTRA members will have access to yet further statistics which will further their understanding of the industry’s growth and help inform their strategic planning.”

Generation Research President Yngve Bia added: “Asia Pacific is today the world’s most important region in terms of duty free trade. We are very pleased to be able to bring to APTRA’s members understanding and exciting insights into how this thriving market continues to evolve onwards, month by month.”
