US. Elizabeth Arden has formally unveiled its new feminine fragrance from pop star Britney. The line, Fantasy Britney Spears, made its debut in the US last month.
The concept for the new fragrance is that of a modern fairy tale, complete with happy ending. Accordingly, the juice is described as a “magic love potion of sweet temptation”.
Created by Jim Krivda of Givaudan, it opens on notes of lychee, quince and kiwi, leading to a cupcake heart accord, complemented by jasmine petals and white chocolate orchid.
The base is a blend of musk, orris and woods.
The fuchsia flacon is encrusted with Swarovski crystals, with an interlocking ring around the flacon collar, reportedly to represent the pursuit of everlasting love.
The outer carton features a colourful pink/white/green/blue pattern, and splits in half to reveal the bottle nestled within.
The Fantasy Britney Spears line-up includes 1.7fl oz and 3.3fl oz edp sprays, a 6.8oz Work Your Magic Body Souffle and a Look My Way Color Kit. This features eyeshadows, a face highlighter and a lip gloss.
The recommended domestic price points are US$45 and US$55 for the fragrance references; and US$25 for the body and colour ancillaries.
