The Armani Group will fast-track expansion of its A|X Armani Exchange collections in duty free and travel retail for the Spring/Summer 2018 season.
The announcement follows the group’s recent reorganisation of its brand portfolio focusing on Giorgio Armani, Emporio Armani and A|X Armani Exchange.
Armani said the reorganisation would lead to “a newly defined and targeted retail network, based on expansion and rationalisation of the number of retail outlets to reflect the needs and potential of the different countries in which the Armani Group operates and to maximise its potential with respect to its relevant targets”.
Following the brand portfolio reorganisation, A|X Armani Exchange will now include part of the product area previously served by Armani Jeans.
A|X Armani Exchange is a new streetwear label in the Armani style and is described as “young, informal, urban, versatile and modern”. The label also utilises digital channels as its primary means of communication, Armani said.
