INTERNATIONAL. Welcome to the July edition of our popular pictorial series, which highlights the key images of the month in travel retail.
The month of July saw The Moodie Report heading east to Macau and Beijing, two of Asia’s most vibrant and thriving cities. We took a tour of the luxury project that is DFS Galleria Macao and present some of our very first pictures in July’s gallery below. In Beijing, we visited the headquarters of China Duty Free Group, the long-time giant of China’s travel retail industry, where Vice-President Lu Lu gave insights into the company’s successful transformation.
July was also an exciting month for The Nuance Group Australia & New Zealand, which unveiled – in the words of Melbourne Airport CEO Chris Woodruff – “the best Arrivals store in Australia” at Melbourne Airport.
Other noteworthy openings included Aelia’s five new stores at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport’s reopened Terminal 2E, as well as the Cosmetic Institute, a new treatment and wellness centre developed by Munich Airport and its retail subsidiary Eurotrade in partnership with Gebr Heinemann.
