UK. Airport hospitality specialist Aspire Pre-Flight Hospitality will open a new lounge at Manchester Airport in late August, reinforcing its expansion strategy across the UK and Ireland.
The new facility, Aspire’s third lounge at this airport and second in Terminal 2, follows recent openings at Liverpool and Birmingham airports as demand for premium pre-flight hospitality continues to grow.

Located in a central position within the terminal, the lounge will offer more than 300 seats and has been designed to serve a broad mix of travellers.
The concept combines food & beverage services, social and dining areas, quiet zones and private work rooms, which Aspire said reflects evolving passenger expectations around comfort, productivity and relaxation before departure.

The company noted the interior design draws on Manchester’s industrial heritage, with artwork and finishes intended to create a strong sense of place while maintaining a calm and contemporary atmosphere.
Aspire Pre-Flight Hospitality Director of Lounges UK&I and Global Customer Innovation James Millett said: “We’re delighted to announce our third lounge at Manchester Airport and second in Terminal 2. With a capacity of over 300, our guests can be assured of world-class, award-winning hospitality and a lounge designed to reflect our almost 40 years of experience in partnership with the airport.
“With a strong forward pipeline and significant continuous improvement projects to enhance the guest experience, Aspire has real momentum in the UK & Ireland as part of our global investment plan.”

The Manchester opening forms part of a broader international growth programme for Aspire and parent company Swissport.
Aspire Pre-Flight Hospitality Global Senior Vice President David Collyer commented, “We’re pleased to announce this latest opening at Manchester Airport as we continue to build out our lounge portfolio with new and expanded presence across key airports and markets worldwide.
“This Aspire lounge brings the very best in lounge design and all the amenities that today’s modern traveller expects.

“We’re ensuring that our guests’ pre-flight experience is time well spent, providing them with the space to unwind, relax, dine and socialise before their departure.”
Aspire welcomes around 6.4 million guests annually across its global network, including more than 1.2 million travellers in the UK and Ireland during 2025. The portfolio spans Aspire-branded lounges alongside airline, alliance, banking and credit card lounge partnerships.
The wider Swissport business operated 93 lounges worldwide at the end of 2025 and is continuing to invest in premium airport hospitality infrastructure across key markets.
Planned airport openings in 2026 will take that total to 106 and will include new facilities in Stockholm, Geneva, Calgary, Manchester and Vilnius. ✈
