ATÜ Duty Free executive strikes gold with Paco Rabanne

INTERNATIONAL. Tevfik Ilhan Çimencioglu, an executive for ATÜ Duty Free based at Istanbul Atatürk International Airport, has won a Paco Rabanne “˜golden hamper’ in The Moodie Report’s latest readers’ competition, organised in association with Puig Travel Retail. A draw was held today from all the correct entries.

Tevfik Ilhan correctly named Ernest Hemingway as the famous great-grandfather of Lady Million advertising campaign model Dree. The “˜golden hamper’ includes a Lady Million fragrance plus Lady Million moisturiser, Paco Rabanne 1 Million men’s fragrance and 1 Million shaving balm, a pair of Paco Rabanne sunglasses and a Paco Rabanne watch.

The competition, one of our most popular ever, coincided with the recent launch of Lady Million fragrance from the Paco Rabanne house, through WDF at Heathrow T3. It also marked the opening of the first-ever Paco Rabanne cross-category pop-up store.

The store is a collaboration between Puig and WDF, and will operate for a three-month period over the summer.

As we reported, the 32sq m Paco Rabanne “˜universe’ houses fragrances, watches and sunglasses from the brand’s portfolio. And to differentiate the offer from the UK High Street, the watches and sunglasses ranges are exclusive to travel retail.

The move is the latest in a series of striking activations undertaken by the Puig brand at leading airports. Others include rock concerts, notably with Aldeasa at Spanish airports, and the eye-catching giant gold safe which accompanied the launch of 1 Million two years ago.
