Autogrill opens first Belgian Starbucks at Brussels Airport; second outlet due later this year – 18/08/08

BELGIUM. Starbucks Coffee Company last week opened its first location in Belgium. It is in the landside Departures lounge at Brussels Airport.

Autogrill Belux, Starbucks’ licensed partner, is responsible for the day-to-day management of this location.

An additional store will open at the airport later this year.

The first store opened at midnight on 15 August. Open 24 hours a day it will be accessible to passengers, visitors and airport employees.

The outlet boasts a comprehensive product offering, ranging from espresso-based drinks, and freshly brewed coffees and teas to specialty items such as Frappuccino blended beverages.

It is also offering a wide variety of breakfast, lunch and snack items such as muffins and other pastries, sandwiches and desserts.

The second Starbucks store will be located in the newly renovated shopping area on the A-Pier.

In a statement the partners said: “Starbucks and Autogrill Belux are excited to be included amongst the world renowned brands that are being attracted by the renovation of this important international airport.”
