USA. Avolta has secured a new 12-year contract at Norfolk International Airport covering nine new retail and food & beverage outlets, including four hybrid concepts that combine dining and shopping under one roof.
The agreement strengthens the company’s long-standing presence at the Virginia gateway which already stretches to almost 30 years.
This contract introduces Avolta’s hybrid retail and F&B model at the airport for the first time. The company said formats are designed to maximise commercial space while driving higher passenger spend through integrated retail and dining offers.

The programme will feature a mix of national brands and local concepts.
Avolta President and CEO North America Steve Johnson said: “This new 12-year contract reflects the strength of our partnership with Norfolk Airport Authority and the introduction of Avolta’s first hybrid retail and food and beverage concepts.
“The programme brings together local relevance, proven brands and practical convenience, giving travellers more choice and a stronger connection to the community.”
Norfolk Airport Authority President and CEO Mark Perryman commented: “Travellers want convenience, selection and the chance to discover items that will complement their journey, whether that’s a preflight snack, something to read, or a souvenir that perfectly reflects their time spent here in Hampton Roads.
“[Avolta’s] Hudson and HMSHost have taken a thoughtful approach to developing their latest retail and food and beverage line-up, and its upcoming shops and eateries unquestionably reflect Coastal Virginia in a manner we know our guests will appreciate.” ✈
