NORTH AMERICA. Journey For Good Foundation, the charitable arm of Avolta in North America, has awarded US$540,000 to 22 organisations across North America. The grants form part of the Foundation’s first 2026 grant cycle, which ran from January to April.
Journey For Good Foundation is a charity dedicated to fighting poverty through food, shelter, education and workforce development. In 2025 it reached the milestone of giving US$5 million over the past decade.

Donations to power the grants came from travellers making purchases at Avolta duty-free, convenience and dining venues operated by Dufry, Hudson, and HMSHost in the USA and Canada, where travellers can voluntarily round up their purchases to the nearest dollar at participating locations. Contributions also came from Avolta team members and sponsors of Journey For Good Foundation’s annual charity golf tournament.
“We have an unwavering commitment to addressing the root causes of poverty in the communities we serve,” said Journey For Good Foundation Chairman and Avolta President & CEO North America Steve Johnson.
He added, “By supporting the remarkable work of these organisations across North America, we are helping expand access to critical resources, stability and opportunity for individuals and families facing significant hardship. This impact is made possible through the generosity of travellers and the extraordinary dedication of Avolta team members and partners who continue to champion our mission with compassion and purpose.”
The Foundation focuses on funding sustainable and scalable community-led solutions, working in collaboration with local agencies and organisations already making a difference. Journey For Good Foundation aims to:
- Relieve hunger and promote nutritional wellness through food-related initiatives;
- Combat homelessness through access to safe housing, furnishings, clothing, and stable employment;
- Encourage the next generation through access to education and training;
- Provide opportunity for financial stability through hospitality industry training and placement;
- Honour veterans and their families by supporting programmes that meet their needs for food, shelter, medical care, and job training and placement.

“Every donation made to Journey For Good Foundation represents hope and opportunity for someone in need,” said Jordan Silverman, Director of Journey For Good Foundation. “Thanks to the generosity of travellers, sponsors of our annual charity golf classic, and the dedication of Avolta team members in North America, we have funded programmes that provide critical resources and tools aimed at breaking the cycles of poverty and homelessness.
“We are proud to continue to be a powerful force for good through travel retail and food & beverage and further create connections with the communities we serve.”
The Foundation’s work is an extension of the broader, widespread community involvement of Avolta’s presence in North America. Team members from across the region have contributed through volunteer service, food donation programmes, fundraising campaigns and local environmental stewardship programmes.
