Established in 2019, World Paloma Day has evolved into a strategic milestone on the drinks industry calendar, serving as a key promotional driver to accelerate tequila volume growth as summer demand ramps up.
The initiative also comes as tequila-based cocktails continue to see strong momentum, with the Paloma establishing itself as one of the best-selling drinks in the UK.
With summer approaching, Patrón Tequila is spotlighting its Paloma serve made with Reposado, pink grapefruit juice, lime and soda water as rooftop cocktail occasions increase across London this May.
The brand is highlighting venues across the city where tequila-based cocktails are gaining momentum ahead of Paloma Day.
Featured among the participating rooftop locations is 12th Knot in Southwark, known for its Thames-facing sunset views. The venue serves as an ideal setting to enjoy Patrón Palomita, combining Patrón Tequila Reposado with pink grapefruit, blood orange, agave and Peychaud’s bitters.
For a more high-energy rooftop experience, London Bridge Rooftop combines panoramic Shard views with a lively social setting. The venue will serve a classic Paloma featuring Patrón Tequila Silver and Franklin & Sons pink grapefruit soda.
With sweeping views of the London skyline, Wagtail Rooftop provides a vibrant rooftop setting for summer occasions, and will spotlight The Paloma – a citrus-forward cocktail blending Patrón Tequila Reposado with apple eau-de-vie, agave, lime and grapefruit soda for a balanced serve.
Perched 14 floors above street level, Jin Bo Law Skybar offers a refined after-work setting with skyline views. Guests can enjoy The Yuzurita, a citrus-forward cocktail made with Patrón Tequila Silver, coriander, yuzushu, lime and agave.
Offering panoramic skyline views above Shoreditch, One Hundred Shoreditch features an energetic rooftop atmosphere. The highlight serve, The Soleil Lux, is made with Patrón Tequila Silver, grapefruit juice and prosecco, offering citrus flavours, pink hues and light bubbles.
A popular East London destination, Boundary Rooftop will offer the Spicy Mango Margarita, made with Patrón Tequila Silver, triple sec, mango, lime and chilli, delivering a fruity twist with a subtle chilli warmth.
With sweeping skyline views and a strong sunset appeal, Aviary Rooftop features a menu of vibrant seasonal cocktails. Highlights include The Paloma, combining Patrón Tequila Reposado, apple eau-de-vie, lime, sugar and grapefruit soda.
The BoTree in Marylebone (pictured above) provides a stylish rooftop escape, with design-led interiors and a fashionable crowd. The venue will spotlight the St Paloma, combining Patrón Tequila Silver, grapefruit, St-Germain elderflower liqueur, agave, lime and Tigerella tomato sparkling water for a modern Paloma twist. ✈
