Bally’s Spring/Summer 2012 ad campaign is set in Switzerland’s Bernese heartland to reflect the brand’s heritage |
Bally has unveiled its Spring/Summer 2012 advertising campaign, set amid the Swiss lakes and the alpine views that surround the resort town of Gstaad.
The Swiss luxury goods house said it chose the Gstaad Palace Hotel in Switzerland’s Bernese heartland for the photo shoot to reflect the brand’s heritage.
For Spring/Summer 2012, Creative Directors Michael Herz and Graeme Fidler aim to carry the brand into a new realm of urban luxury.
The campaign, which breaks in January 2012, was shot in mid-October 2011 by New York-based photographer Norman Jean Roy, whose work includes covers for Vanity Fair as well as Vogue editorials.

Bally said Roy’s deceptively casual style and strong narrative composition imbued its Spring/Summer 2012 collection with a blend of style, tradition and understated luxury.
The campaign, featuring Miranda Kerr and Julia Stegner partnered with male models Cedric Bihr and Robert Konjic, is designed to capture an informal moment shared between close friends, enjoying the pleasure of a carefree summer day in the mountains.
Through the pastels and rich jewelled tones of Bally’s leather shoes, bags and ready-to-wear, with their crafted embellishments and motifs, the images are designed to evoke a sense of modern romance and sophisticated luxe, according to the house.
