B+D adds to eyewear collection with new ranges

The new Fly model from the Readers collection comes in six colours and a range of strengths

DENMARK. Eyewear specialist Buch + Deichmann (B+D) is to introduce two new ranges of Readers reading glasses specially designed for the duty free market at the IAADFS Duty Free Show of the Americas next week (Booth number: 2205)

Both the Kent and Fly ranges come in six colours and a range of strengths. A special three-pack has also been developed for travellers who like to have a range of colours. This product offers a bigger discount (-20% off).

All B+D Readers feature high quality FDA-approved aspheric lenses and resilient frames, guaranteeing excellent quality and preventing visual distortion. The reasonably priced range aims to provide a chic, efficient and easy solution for a common visual difficulty.

The company has also presented its new Timeless Affaire sunglasses range to the travel retail trade. This classic collection was inspired by Hollywood’s Golden Years.

Colours are described as classic and classy, evoking refined seduction. Thick structures, traditional shapes, feline details, oversized frames, visor-like outlines and leather detailing combine to reinforce the vintage essence of this original sunglasses collection.

B+D CEO Roberto Crom said: “Our whole product range including the new line is selling really well. The new range really fits in with our philosophy of helping travellers in trouble and just the right product to be sold in airports, ferries and border shops.

“The new collection has been well received by all our customers who have seen it. Initial sales are well ahead of our expectations and we are sure that new customers who see the new frames in Orlando will be delighted.”

B+D will showcase its full range of readers and sunglasses at the 2011 IAADFS show in Orlando.
