Beauté Prestige International introduces new Narciso feminine fragrance

Beauté Prestige International has unveiled a new feminine fragrance from designer Narciso Rodriguez, called simply Narciso. The objective, according to Rodriguez, was to create “an extremely sexy fragrance that would turn a man’s head”. The scent is said to define sensuality in a modern way, full of elegance and luxury.

Of the name, the designer explained: “Narciso is such an uncommon name and one can’t help but think of the Greek myth of Narcissus. There is so much history attached to the myth and so many romantic narratives suggested by it.”

Vetiver – traditionally more popular within men’s fragrance – is a key component of the juice. Other ingredients include musk, amber, white and dark cedars, gardenia and Bulgarian rose.

The Narciso fragrance is presented in a stone-white lacquer, cube-shaped bottle. The shade was inspired by a stone found by the designer on the beach in Cyprus. The brand’s signature rectangular cap is updated with a creamy matte nude hue. The Narciso logo is picked out in black. “Black, white and nude are my essential colours,” noted Rodriguez, “Each time I start a collection, I start with these.”

The fragrance face is Raquel Zimmerman. In the advertising visual she is depicted gazing suggestively over her bare shoulder.

In other news, the Narciso fragrance is being promoted by a special event at Dubai International Airport T3, from 1 to 30 September. Travellers will be invited to enter the Narciso universe in the form of a 17sq m podium, where they will be able to sample the main fragrance notes via three perfumed ceramics.

Two gwps – a 10ml Narciso purse spray and a Narciso mirror – will be offered with the purchase of a large Narciso fragrance. In addition, passengers will be invited to send love messages via special Narciso postcards.
