A colourful celebration of 20 years in make-up |
Bobbi Brown Cosmetics has created a special Limited Edition 1991 Palette to mark its 20th anniversary. The set features Bobbi’s 10 original, brown-based lipsticks, plus 10 bright, modern options.
“Lipstick is one of the simplest make-up steps and a great way to instantly change your look,” noted Brown, who decided to create her own range in 1991, prompted by the lack of flattering lip colours available at that time.
The make-up artist chose to feature shades with a brown base – in her opinion the most natural complement to a woman’s skin tone. Following a small editorial mention, Brown was soon taking phone orders from her home, and was then approached by Bergdorf Goodman, who subsequently launched her eponymous collection, selling 100 lipsticks in just one day.
The Limited Edition 1991 Palette pays tribute to the original shades, and also showcases how the brand has evolved in the past 20 years. All the colours can be worn alone or blended for a unique look.
