The Hugo Boss collection features fashionable double bridges and wraparound, curved frames in big, bold styles |
GERMANY. Charmant, the Boss eyewear licensee, showed its new, fashion-led range of sunglasses to buyers at TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes.
The Hugo Boss collection features fashionable double bridges and wraparound, curved frames in big, bold styles. Plastic and metal frames are available. Domestic retail prices range from €120 to €170.
In the Boss Woman range, the new logo is featured on the side and hinges. Dual-coloured frames and wraparounds are offered.
The younger Hugo collection comprises more unusual shaped frames – some very narrow and with green and blue lenses. The H logo is incorporated into the rim in one model.
The more affordable Esprit range, which is half the price of the Boss and Hugo lines, boasts bigger frames and detailing on the temples and hinges.
Best outlets for Boss eyewear are in Asia, particularly in South Korea with Hotel Lotte, said Head of Duty Free Kjartan Nielsen. Business in Europe and the Middle East is also robust.
Inflight sales perform well on Mytravel, Asiana Airlines and Eurocypria, said Nielsen. Airport stores operated by Gebr Heinemann and Nuance are also important.
