GERMANY. Braun has introduced a new range of travel clocks to travel retail, the first three to be available at the end of April.
Two models will be released in summer and another two – which include a top-end digital version – will be out between September and October this year.
The first three models, pictured, are the Braun AB 4A, the Braun AB 25 and the Braun AB 5A. The AB 25 comes with a snooze light. They are showcased at the IAADFS Duty Free Show of the Americas for the first time together with the prototype of the Braun AB 320, to be released in late summer. Buyers can see the latest Braun models at Booth 2505.
Apart from the new models, Braun has also launched a campaign to celebrate the company’s “˜50 Years of Design Innovation’. The campaign chronicles the company’s contribution to product design since the first range of Braun radios and phonographs were designed and showcased by the Ulm Academy of Design in Dusseldorf, Germany, in 1955.
It is also in conjunction with the 15th anniversary of the BraunPrize, a forum for young designers all over the world to develop their design skills and identity.
A year-long series of events, which started in London, UK, last month, will be carried out in Germany and the US under this campaign. More can be learned about the Braun design history at www.braun.com/50yearsdesign.
