Cadbury counts on the colour purple at Cannes – 11/09/09

Purple power: Cadbury’s freshly designed exhibition stand at the 2009 TFWA show in Cannes will have a harbour view

UK. Leading UK chocolate manufacturer Cadbury will unveil a colourful new stand at the 2009 TFWA World Exhibition next month, dominated by the brand’s signature purple colour (Stand number: Bay Village 9).

The new-look stand, with a harbour view, is designed to reflect Cadbury’s emphasis on its premium ranges, with high quality fixtures and fittings and strong use of the key Cadbury brand colours of purple and gold.

On display will be an extensive range of products, including its latest addition, the Cadbury Collection Tin (400g) alongside fresh innovations to the Cadbury Luxury Selection brand.

Despite the global financial crisis, Cadbury is stepping up investment and expanding its team for the exhibition.

Cadbury General Manager Steve Brock explained: “The experience we provide to visitors on the stand is a further aspect of the whole experience that is the Cadbury brand, and that is why we have invested so strongly in our presence at Cannes. We are fanatical about the quality and appeal of our premium offering in travel retail and are equally unwavering in our commitment to delivering a truly premium level of service and support to our retail partners.

“In the face of the current exceptionally tough economic environment, it is vital that suppliers and retailers maintain their shared commitment to fantastic products, great customer experiences and maximising category performance; a crisis is simply not the time to abandon best practice. We are committed to continued investment in this channel, through our presence, shopper insight focus, key partnerships with our retailers and relentless focus on increasing confectionery category penetration and sales.”

*As previously reported, Cadbury recently rejected a £10.2 billion bid from US-based food giant Kraft Foods.
