Capi has installed a “˜Connectivity Table’ at its flagship store in Lounge 1 of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, created using software and hardware that was tailor-made for the electronics retailer.
The interactive tablet table has four in-built 135cm screens which highlight the consumer benefits of the Wearables and Connectivity product group through animations and videos.
Capi said the table acts as a storyteller, explaining the features and relationships between the seemingly unrelated products on display such as smartwatches, LED lamps and Google Glass.

“This high-tech presentation allows us to create a unique in-store experience for our customers,” explained Royal Capi-Lux Managing Director Peter Wiggers. “We want to inspire travellers in a novel way. By bringing together a range of products previously considered unrelated and showing their relationship and key user benefits in an attractive and trendsetting way, our customers will understand the story we want to tell.”
As with all Capi’s innovations, this experience table will go on display at its flagship store in Schiphol first, and later to its other stores around the world.
Although initially developed for Capi’s larger stores, the Connectivity Table can also be placed in its smaller shops in future, the retailer added.
