Cartier showcases its savoir-faire at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport

The famed Cartier panther fresco is the key design feature

Cartier has unveiled an elegant boutique at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport Terminal 1.

The opening represents Cartier’s third boutique at the principal Parisian airport, building on a duo of existing stores in T2.

The launch bolsters Cartier Travel Retail’s multi-terminal strategy, which serves to inspire a greater and more diverse client base travelling with premium airlines and on long-haul flights.

The boutique, located at the heart of the prestige shopping atrium on the first floor, is designed to reaffirm the jeweller’s position as a first-class Maison for luxury-minded travellers. It celebrates the essence of Paris and Cartier’s classic codes, providing a sophisticated canvas to showcase the Maison’s diverse range.

The contemporary store concept complements the re-modelled experience delivered by the T1 reopening and supports Groupe ADP’s recently launched retail and hospitality concept, Extime.

Travellers are drawn to the store by the boutique’s modern façade and a prominent Cartier fragrance space located a few steps away from the new boutique.

Fragrance lovers can discover Cartier  fragrances in a luxury beauty environment and are then welcomed to the boutique to explore the Maison’s full Cartier product universe.

Scents of place: Cartier fragrances offer an alluring conduit to the main boutique

Once inside, the Cartier panther fresco catches the eye as the key design feature. The panther takes clients on a journey through Paris to discover the savoir-faire of the Maison through the work of straw marquetry, the patina and an array of refined fabrics.

Clients are greeted by the store’s animation and novelty area. The chic setting, expanding around a fluted plaster column and covered with a golden patina chandelier,  introduces seasonal activations and houses the latest collections. In the jewellery universe, red fabrics dress the walls to reinforce the Maison’s classic codes.

Nearby, warm tones of wood species and bronze wallpaper exude a relaxing and inviting feeling for clients to browse Cartier’s leathergoods and accessories. The boutique also features dedicated universes for the Maison’s watches, gifting collections and fragrance offer. The Cartier experience is completed with a prestige selection of services, such as quick shining and engraving services.

Cartier Global Travel Retail Director Virginie Martignac commented: “We are pleased to debut the Cartier boutique in the newly renovated and modern Terminal 1 of Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. Developed with travellers’ needs in mind, the boutique presents a contemporary and elevated luxury airport shopping experience influenced by this great city’s artistry and refinement.

“The boutique is set to inspire travellers with Paris’s joie de vivre through exclusive luxury retail experiences with a charmingly local touch.” ✈
