Lagardère welcomes Burberry back to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol Lounge 2
Burberry has returned to the Dutch gateway following a year-long absence, with the new 80sq m boutique reinforcing the luxury offer in the airport’s redeveloped Lounge 2.
The deal will provide Duty Free Americas “with an immediate, scaled presence in one of the Middle East’s fastest-growing travel retail markets, accelerating its luxury retail and regional growth strategy”, says parent Falic Group.

The two-month Valentino Eyewear pop-up marks the debut of the first Valentino Eyewear collection developed and distributed by Kering Eyewear since their licensing agreement was confirmed last year.
The eyewear powerhouse posted solid first-half growth as AI glasses, myopia management and strong regional performances fuelled its momentum.
Continued momentum at Kering Eyewear was among the highlights across the luxury group’s portfolio in the six months to 30 June.
A multi-airport roll-out spanning nine UK gateways combined immersive pop-ups with striking Out of Home visibility as Prada Eyewear brought its Urban Beaches campaign to World Duty Free.
The opportunities include a 199sq m store in Terminal 1, 133sq m in T2, 101sq m in T3 and 130sq m in T4, with a bid deadline of 21 September.
The company said the performance was “very solid in a geopolitical and economic environment that remained disrupted, amplified by the conflict in the Middle East”.

The 72sq m boutique, which represents a stand-alone store debut for the brand in regional duty free, offers men’s and women’s bags, shoes, hats, scarves and other travel accessories such as wallets and phone cases.
