Edinburgh Airport unveils £500 million investment plan with terminal footprint set to grow by +60%
Described as the biggest single investment in Scottish aviation history, alongside new gates and aircraft stands the programme will significantly expand the airport’s retail, food & beverage and other passenger facilities.

The £2.5 million (US$3.3 million) project will bring a larger retail footprint, new dining facilities and a refreshed post-security experience ahead of summer 2027.
The consultancy appointment was announced on LinkedIn by Redesign Group Founder and Director Jo Pennycuick, who hailed the highly experienced Grover’s impressive track record in the travel retail industry.

Central to the plan is the proposed redevelopment of Sydney Airport’s T2 and T3 to create an integrated terminal bringing together domestic, regional and international services.
The revamped Hyderabad Duty Free Departure Store features a retail environment inspired by the heritage of Hyderabad and Telangana, while Vizag Duty Free is built around the theme ‘Where Coastal Heritage Meets Global Discoveries’.
The visual engagement specialist is extending its whole-space branding approach into airports, combining graphics, wayfinding, lighting and custom fabrication to create cohesive passenger environments.
