Cathay Pacific recognised for inflight offering at Asia-Pacific AR.Awards

SINGAPORE. Cathay Pacific came out on top in two categories at the Asia-Pacific AR.Awards in Singapore last night, held during the 2014 Airline Retail Conference (ARC) Asia-Pacific.

The awards were presented at a gala dinner at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Center, where the Hong Kong-based carrier was awarded “˜Best Airline for Inflight Retail’ and “˜Best Airline for Inflight Food & Beverage’.

Other winners included Inflight Service Europe AB and Scorpio Worldwide, named “˜Best Inflight Concessionaire’ and “˜Best Inflight Agent or Distributor’ respectively.

Inflight Sales Group Managing Director Tony Detter was named “˜Airline Retail Personality of the Year’.

The four product categories were decided by the votes of attendees – which numbered about 400 according to organisers – on the first day of the two-day ARC2014 event, which was attended by airlines, concessionaires, brands and distributors from across the region.
