Happy to help: 18 staff were awarded for their exceptional customer service by Transport Minister Raymond Lim |
SINGAPORE. Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) honoured 18 frontline airport staff for outstanding customer service at its Annual Airport Reception held at Changi Airport today (Friday).
Transport Minister Raymond Lim presented two awards at the reception: Service Personality of the Year and Outstanding Service Providers.
The Service Personality of the Year title went to Mohd Yunos Mohd Ismail from ground handling company Changi International Airport Services (CIAS), for what was described as “timely and voluntary assistance of a distraught and needy passenger at the airport”.
The other award winners shared similar stories of exceptional customer service.
Lim attributed Changi’s success to excellent service standards and told the reception guests: “Increasingly, airport-wide campaigns and training programmes are conducted regularly to train and motivate frontline staff to provide good customer service.”
Changi Airport has already received five awards so far this year, the latest coming from Frost & Sullivan for its first Airport of the Year award. Other accolades include the Best Airport in Asia Pacific from DestinAsian.
