UK. Leading infant and pre-school toymaker Fisher-Price has unveiled a new children’s play area and retail outlet at London Gatwick Airport South terminal.
Following consumer insight and parental feedback which indicated a high demand for children’s entertainment while travelling, the manufacturer opened the play area and shop on 28 July, in time for the busy summer holiday travel period. It will remain open until 28 October.
The new retail space carries popular toys from the Fisher-Price baby, infant and pre-school collection. The play area, designed for children from newborn to five years, will complement Gatwick’s kid’s zones, which were launched earlier this year.
For extra parental peace of mind the play area will be run by fully trained, fully-checked staff, supplied by Blackjack Promotions.
Fisher-Price Brand Manager Nivi Bhide commented: “Travelling with children can be a very stressful time. The Fisher-Price play area will give parents an opportunity to relax while their tots try out some toys, and the retail space will provide a range of toys at varying price points for travellers.”
Blackjack Promotions Managing Director Sally Alington added: “Projects like this go to show the depth of experience our promotional staffing resource can offer. It’s a pleasure for us to supply staff for an experience like this, and we hope this is going to make a real difference for people travelling with young children over the course of this summer.”
