CHINA. China Duty Free Group (CDFG) reports a successful debut for its duty free stores at the new Kunming Changshui International Airport, which opened last week on 28 June.

The duty free zone is located in the airport’s F2 international lounge. CDFG told The Moodie Report that its brand line-up includes Chanel, Clinique, Laneige, L’Occitane, Biotherm, Lancôme, L’Oréal, Dior, Elizabeth Arden and others in beauty; supported by a strong watches and sunglasses offer, including Longines, Tissot, Armani, CK, Gucci, Boss and Dior. Handbags and jewellery include Lesibo, Samsonite and Swarovski, while the foods and wine & spirits selection features a diverse range of leading brands.

The new terminal covers nearly 550,000sq m. The airport is expected to process about 24 million passengers this year, rising to 38 million by 2020.

Changshui International Airport’s commercial area includes a Yunnan zone (Kunming is the capital of Yunnan province), an international boutique zone, an international duty free area and other facilities spread over some 35,000sq m. As reported, Aer Rianta International has opened 11 duty paid stores at the airport, covering 650sq m of airside retail space under the “˜The Loop’ brand.
长水国际机场商业区包括云南区（昆明为云南省省会）、国际精品区、国际免税区以及其他设施，共计占地35,000平方米。据报道，瑞安达国际有限公司（ARI）开办了十一家机场完税店，包括坐落于机场隔离区、占地650平方米的”˜The Loop’品牌零售店。
CDFG underlined the importance of the Kunming contract to the company, the fourth-largest hub in the country and a crucial gateway to southwest China. The new opening represents a great stepping stone in the company’s ambitions to build a large-scale airport retail business and its strategy to become a benchmark of retail excellence, CDFG noted.
鉴于昆明机场是中国第四大航空枢纽、通往中国西南的关键门户，中免集团强调了昆明特许经营合同的重要性。此次新店开张标志着中免集团向其大规模构建机场零售商业的雄心及成为零售业翘楚的准绳这一战略目标迈进了坚定地一步。

It said that Changshui International Airport will become a major hub airport connecting China with Southeast Asia, South Asia and Eurasia, building an air economic corridor with direct flights to leading cities in Southeast Asia, South Asia, Europe and Australia. It will also connect the Middle East and Africa via Dubai and link with North America via connecting flights in other locations.
据报道，长水国际机场将成为连系中国和东南亚、南亚以及欧洲的重要航空枢纽，并将通过飞往东南亚、南亚、欧洲及澳大利亚主要城市的直航，打造一条航空”丝绸之路”。它还将通过迪拜连通中东和非洲，通过飞往其他地点的航班与北美洲建立连接。
