Malaysian confectionery retailer Choc Stop International has reported “incredibly strong” sales from the Hershey’s “˜Bringing Goodness to the World’ promotion.
Sales of the brand at Kuala Lumpur International Airport grew by more than +250% over the previous month.
Featuring multilingual promoters and sampling opportunities, the promotion gave away a free Hershey’s tote bag with any RM120 (US$40) spent on travel retail exclusive products. Additionally, customers who bought any three 18/20 oz pouches got one free.
Choc Stop’s retail strategy is strongly brand driven – its portfolio numbers over 1,000 skus from 28 of the world’s top names. Hershey’s is the retailer’s number one selling brand.
