CHINA. Sinopharm-owned China National Service Corporation (CNSC) has secured the contract to run an arrivals duty-free store at Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport Terminal 2.
The concession for a 197sq m store builds on CNSC’s existing airport departures outlet and its downtown duty-free store in the city. After Chongqing, this is the second time CNSC has achieved a ‘three stores in one city’ duty-free presence in China.
The company described the latest win as a “strategic move to deepen CNSC’s foothold in Central China and reinforce its duty-free network across key cities nationwide”.

Serving the capital city of Henan province in Central China, Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport is a major national gateway. In 2025, it operated 17 international passenger routes, connecting 16 cities across 12 countries, with annual international passenger numbers reaching about 891,000 (compared to around 1.8 million in 2019).
CNSC has built an integrated duty-free system covering downtown, airport, offshore, overseas and online channels in China.
Between 2019 and 2021, it successively launched its downtown and airport departures stores in Zhengzhou, working closely with Henan Airport Group.

Upon the store’s opening, CNSC plans to curate a selection of premium global brands and high-quality domestic products, showcase its distinctive ‘duty-free + health’ brand positioning, and highlight Central China’s local culture to deliver a premium airport retail experience, it said.
The company will also offer online pre-order with in-store pickup at the store.
A CNSC statement said, “Looking ahead, we are committed to leveraging our omnichannel duty-free ecosystem to support Zhengzhou’s development as a consumption hub. We look forward to contributing to the region’s high-level opening-up, and to a wider extent driving quality upgrades in China’s duty-free industry.” ✈
