CHINA. CNSC this week soft-opened a downtown post-arrivals duty free store in the port city of Qingdao, east Shandong Province, bordering the Yellow Sea.
The store, unveiled on 3 February, embraces over 1,000sq m of retail space in the HNA Wanbang Center in Shinan District.
The fast-growing travel retailer is offering a wide range of cosmetics, fragrances, fashion & accessories, handbags, leathergoods, food and confectionery, everyday convenience items, arts and crafts, and other items.

The complex has introduced many first- and second-tier international brands. Several major brands will be added to the retail mix during the initial trial operation period to add richness to the offer and meet consumer needs.
The store will continue to uphold the traditional CNSC post-arrivals duty free concept of serving Chinese travellers returning from abroad.
CNSC pledged that it would continuously optimise product structure and customer focus and strive to build its business reputation as the foundation for growth.
“We will improve the customer shopping experience in an all-round way, help promote the commercial quality of the business district, activate the overall commercial consumption power of Qingdao, and strive to build the store into a shining business card of Qingdao’s duty free business,” CNSC said.
