Coccinelle showcases Spring/Summer 2024 and travel retail-exclusive collections in Cannes

Coccinelle has added the Dew line to its Cannes offerings this year

Italian fashion house Coccinelle is presenting its new Spring/Summer 2024 Collection and the travel retail-exclusive capsule collection at the ongoing TFWA World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes (Riviera Village RJ16).

The latest fashion collection is described by the brand owner as a “kaleidoscope of shapes, colours and facets”. It features a palette of sun-inspired colours, with each shade a different brightness, pastel and light, “but vibrant and full at the same time”.

The main highlight of the collection is the Dew line, which includes rounded boxy bags that can be worn daily and are easily transposed for more formal events.

An addition to the list of bags is the Snuggie, a soft, unstructured and unlined light bag made with double leather material. It features a new shape, inspired by the brand’s signature plectrum, but reworked in a larger and asymmetrical style.

The Magie is designed with the brand’s distinctive elements such as the front twist clasp and the rings at the side.

Underlining its commitment to sustainability, the brand is introducing eco-friendly products from the Roundabout line. These bags are made using bio-based leather, organic and 88% recycled, with a tanning process that uses less chromium and metal.

The leather is produced by companies that use 100% renewable energy and have reduced their carbon emissions. The material has been adapted for all kinds of products, from bucket bags to shopping bags and floral keyrings.

Coccinelle is also unveiling its latest footwear collection, which includes summer sandals, dressy and heeled shoes, and active-wear sneakers.

The Beat Selleria features the brand’s famed plectrum and tassels. Described as elegant and classy, the footwear range includes open-heel loafers and flat or heeled sandals.

The Himma Smooth line-up features pumps that can be worn in the office or for elegant occasions. The pumps come in various heights but maintain the same style.

Coccinelle has also brought back its sneaker line, Monogram Perforee, which features different colours and can be easily paired with various outfits.

Coccinelle International Markets & Global Travel Retail Head Giada Cappelletti said: “Very positive results have been accomplished for Coccinelle Travel Retail in the first semester of 2023, with a double-digit growth driven by traffic recovery and stable increase in terms of turnover for comparable stores.

“During the first six months we opened in Bologna International Airport, Düsseldorf International Airport, Vienna International Airport Main Plaza, Austria, and Dalaman International Airport in Turkey, but new doors and cruise ships will be launched by the end of the year and many others have already been finalised for the next year.”

Coccinelle’s special travel retail-exclusive collection is also making its debut in Cannes

Coccinelle is also showcasing its channel-exclusive capsule collection as it seeks to expand its travel retail presence.

Made for both men and women, the collection includes a contemporary backpack, a soft medium-size duffel, a cool bum bag, a double-compartment mini bag, a passport holder and two luggage tags. These products feature the brand’s signature super-soft grainy leather and are designed in three colours enriched with monogram details and a special leather tag dedicated to the project.
