Confectionery company Sweets of Oman SAOG has been named as a recipient of His Majesty’s Cup, awarded to the five best manufacturing companies in Oman for 2012.
The company’s Chiko branded products are sold in over 40 countries, including in travel retail. They can be found in airport retail locations in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Bahrain, Doha, Muscat and Nairobi as well as in India.
2012 was the 22nd edition of His Majesty’s Cup Award. The award recognises companies that performed well under some key criteria. These included Omanisation, marketing efforts, financial performance, use of local raw materials, integration with other industries, production efficiency, quality standards and environmental safety.
Kreol Travel Retail represents Sweets of Oman in duty free. Kreol CEO A.S. Lal said: “We are delighted that Sweets Of Oman has received this coveted recognition from the office of His Majesty the Ruler of Oman. Our association will continue to grow in the coming years.”
