JAPAN. Coty Inc has announced the incorporation of Coty Prestige Japan KK, a joint venture agreement between Coty Inc and Bluebell Beaute.
The new entity will combine the power of the Coty Prestige brands with Bluebell Beaute’s commercial expertise in Japan, to further develop the Coty Prestige brands in that market.
It will also allow Coty Prestige Japan KK to manage the entire Coty Prestige fragrance portfolio in Japan.
“This strategic partnership will utilise local knowledge and increase our capacity to market our products,” commented Coty Inc CEO Bernd Beetz. “This business decision reflects the importance of Japan’s fragrance market and the global growth of the Coty Prestige portfolio.”
Coty Prestige Japan KK will operate under the general management of Francois Saurel, previously based at Coty Prestige’s Paris headquarters.
Coty Prestige Japan KK will manage the marketing and commercial decisions for the Coty Prestige fragrances portfolio in Japan, while Bluebell Beaute will execute the commercial policy defined for the Coty Prestige brands, and serve as the regular contact point for retailers.
