UK. Italian travel food & beverage operator Cremonini, through its subsidiary Chef Express UK, has acquired UK F&B brand Bagel Factory.
The acquisition marks Cremonini’s first venture into the UK railway station market, strengthening its position in the UK.
The operator said it took a special interest in Bagel Factory because of its well-established presence in railway stations across the country, including five stations in London, one in Manchester Piccadilly, one in Reading and two in Scotland.
Cremonini plans to expand Bagel Factory’s existing cafeteria offer using ideas from its upscale bar concept Mokà . The development is supported by the Cremonini’s experience operating cafés in Italian railway stations, where its Chef Express brand is a market leader.
