CYPRUS. In an expression of its sensitivity towards and love for children, the management of the Cyprus Airways Duty Free and Travel Value Shops have organised a special Christmas event for the children with mental disabilities attending the school of Evagelismos in Nicosia.
The day included different kinds of surprises for the children, including Christmas mascot characters, Santa Claus, singing, dancing and other festive activities, as well as many surprise gifts.
Costakis Koukkoullis, General Manager of Cyprus Airways Duty Free Shops said: “This action falls into the greater social contribution policy of the company, which aims towards coming closer to people outside the context of the shops. It involves touching their everyday lives in all possible ways. The feeling of seeing smiling children’s faces is so fulfilling. Spending time with the children was a unique experience which we enjoyed as much as the children.”
