Brand in focus: Belvedere recently acquired Danzka Vodka from V&S Vin & Sprit |
DENMARK. Belvedere SA is targeting the travel retail business as it continues to reinforce its newly acquired Danzka Vodka brand. The Belvedere Duty Free team will be present at the TFWA World Exhibition next month (Stand number: Green Village J46).
To handle the sales, marketing and distribution of Danzka Vodka in duty free as well as domestic markets, the French parent company has set up two new subsidiaries in Denmark – Belvedere Scandinavia A/S and Belvedere Duty Free A/S.
Explaining the new set-up and emphasising Belvedere’s ambition in the international spirits sector, General Director Christophe Trylinski said: “In the wake of our recent acquisition of the Danzka Vodka brand from V&S Vin & Sprit, we started Belvedere Scandinavia A/S as part of our ambitious international strategy for continued growth. With production of Danzka Vodka continuing in Denmark, the new subsidiary won’t only handle sales, marketing and logistics for Danzka Vodka, it’ll also be responsible for all Belvedere’s brands on the Scandinavian markets.”

The French parent company has also created a new company to handle sales of the Belvedere spirit portfolio, including Danzka Vodka and Sobieski Vodka, to the travel retail business. Belvedere Duty Free A/S is headed by Managing Director Wojtek Wydro, who is backed by two experienced Regional Directors – Henrik A. Frandsen (Europe and the Middle East) and Torben Vedel Andersen (the Americas and Northern Europe).
Wojtek Wydro commented: “I’m happy that Henrik and Torben are joining our team and providing support to our friends and customers in their efforts to market our excellent brands. Henrik and Torben are well known to many retail travel customers since they were responsible for building the strong duty free presence Danzka Vodka enjoys today.”

New at the helm of Belvedere Scandinavia A/S is Henriette Holmgreen Thorsen, who brings with her extensive knowledge and experience after seven years as Marketing Director with V&S.
As Holmgreen Thorsen points out, she isn’t the only one in the new firm with expertise and a passion for Danzka Vodka. “Everyone here at Belvedere Scandinavia has previously worked with Danzka Vodka. So although we’re a new company, we already have extensive and relevant brand experience covering marketing, sales and logistics.”
Setting out the company’s plans, Holmgreen Thorsen added: “Belvedere will continue building Danzka Vodka in existing markets such as France, Spain, Bulgaria and Russia while exploring new opportunities in both central and eastern Europe, such as Poland and Romania.
