DENIZEN strikes Jamaica distribution partnership with Nehkrip

Destination merchandise brand DENIZEN has named Nehkrip Jamaica as its exclusive distributor for the Caribbean island.

DENIZEN Destination Managing Director Estelle Baumann said: “Welcoming a whopping four million visitors annually, Jamaica represents a key market for our Caribbean-born brand,” she said. “Jamaica might be small, but it is mighty with its three international airports and five ports of call lined up with a multitude of shops and equipped to handle colossal cruise ships.”

Nehkrip Managing Director Rajesh Kripalani will promote the stainless steel, sterling silver, and 14kt gold lines from the Jamaica Voyage collection to duty free shops at the airport and ports, in addition to hundreds of luxury resorts and fine jewellers on the island.

Established in 2007, Nehkrip Jamaica is a family business involving Rajesh Kripalani, his wife Neha and son Akshay. They also manage two points of sale: an haute couture boutique and a jewellery store at Secrets Montego Bay (part of the Hyatt collection).

In addition to distributing DENIZEN, the Kripalani’s will offer the brand through their own retail outlets, which cater to both local elites and tourists.

Rajesh Kripalani, who has made Jamaica his home for four decades after arriving from India. said that his “favourite piece of jewellery for both men and women is a bracelet, which defines personality”.

Jamaica is the latest addition to DENIZEN’s footprint, which extends to close to 1,000 destinations worldwide.
