Designer Parfums acquires Ghost Fragrances from P&G Prestige

Designer Parfums has reached an agreement with P&G Prestige to acquire the Ghost fine fragrance business. The deal is expected to close on 31 January 2012.

The Ghost acquisition is in line with Designer Parfums’ “global strategy to develop and distribute iconic fragrances across a variety of market sectors”, according to the company. The deal follows the recent addition of both Jean Patou and Monsoon to its portfolio.

“Ghost is a perfect fit for Designer Parfums,” noted Managing Director Dilesh Mehta. “Ghost is one of the leading premium fragrance brands in the UK market with a top 20 national ranking and retail sales of around £35 million pounds.”

Designer Parfums specialises in the creation and development of luxury fragrances. Brands currently owned or licensed include Agent Provocateur, Jean Patou, Worth Paris, Aigner Parfums, Jean Louis Scherrer and Monsoon Fragrances.
