Desigual targets leading hotels and resorts with new sales channel

Desigual will now be offered in some of the world’s leading hotels and resorts

Desigual has announced plans to open 50 points of sale in partnership with top hotel and resort chains next year.

The first openings will be at the end of October, with three stores in Mexico and two in the Dominican Republic at the Secrets, Princess, Now Saphire, Breathless and Bahía Príncipe hotels.

For travel retail, the fashion retailer aims to finish 2013 with over 100 points of sale in the world’s leading international airports.

The latest key opening for the brand was in Terminal 1 of Milan Malpensa Airport last July. Next year the company will focus its sights on Asian and South American markets, on top of consolidating its presence in Europe and North America. New openings have already been planned for airports in Brazil, Russia, Japan, the Middle East and Thailand.

Desigual has also strengthened its inflight offering with its travel wallet and new pashmina pack, which ranked number one in sales this summer within the fashion and accessories category onboard Iberia.

Desigual will present its Autumn Winter 2013 collection “˜We Love’ alongside a wide range of products such as accessories and women’s apparel at the TFWA World Exhibition next week (stand number: Mediterranean Village N5).
