ASIA PACIFIC. DFS Group is partnering Salvatore Ferragamo to give the public a behind-the-scenes look at how the designer’s shoes are made, with a roadshow in Hong Kong and Macau.
“˜The Art of Shoemaking’ roadshow will visit DFS Galleria Macao at the Shoppes at the Four Seasons, DFS Galleria Sun Plaza and Hong Kong International Airport between 28 September and 6 October.
To demonstrate the level of craftsmanship and quality of materials in each handmade shoe, an expert craftsman from the company’s workshop in Florence will create a Ferragamo shoe in front of the public, explaining the various stages of a handmade, “˜made in Italy’ product.

“As the experts in curating luxury retail experiences for world travellers, we are excited and proud to partner with Salvatore Ferragamo in offering our customers a unique viewpoint into the art of shoemaking by one of the craft’s most skilled artisans,” said DFS Group President for Global Merchandising Harold Brooks.
The show at Hong Kong International Airport will mark the first time Salvatore Ferragamo has ever showcased its craftsmanship on the Departures side of a major international hub.
