Diverse Flavours has hosted a wine tasting session for King Power (Thailand)’s VIP customers in Bangkok.
The wine tasting dinner took place on 21 May at the Pullman Bangkok King Power Hotel, with Diverse Flavours Managing Director Anthony Budd and Deetlefs Estate owner Kobus Deetlefs among the speakers.
Deetlefs, whose estate boasts the second longest single-family ownership in South Africa, spoke about his wines and paired them with dishes prepared by chefs from the hotel’s Dejavu restaurant.
Meanwhile, Budd spoke about Ernie Els wines and paired the golfer’s wines with prepared dishes. At the end of the event, there was a draw for bottles of Ernie Els Big Easy Red and Signature Blend, all signed by Els himself.

“This was a fantastic night and we were delighted to be able to present, taste, and get great feedback about the wines,” said Budd.
“For many people it was their first time tasting wines from South Africa, so hopefully we made a good impression, and the VIP customers will now buy the wines in King Power’s duty free shops.”
“This night was possible thanks to Khun Witraporn from King Power, Khun Nuanwan from Ambrose and sponsorship from Siam Commercial Bank, so a very big thank you to them all.”
King Power sells several wines represented by Diverse Flavours, including Ernie Els Signature Blend, Ernie Els Proprietors Blend, Ernie Els Big Easy, Deetlefs Estate Pinotage, Deetlefs Estate Merlot, Deetlefs Estate Sauvignon Blanc, Stonecross Pinotage and Stonecross Shiraz.
