Dubai Airports highlights Arabian hospitality with welcome experiences at DXB

Homecoming moments: The Make Your Welcome Home Sign station invites families and friends to personalise greetings with stickers and Dubai-inspired embellishments

UAE. Dubai Airports has launched a series of welcoming experiences across Dubai International (DXB) Terminal 3, bringing Arabian hospitality to travellers throughout August.

The ‘Dubai Welcome’ programme targets residents returning to the Emirate following the summer break, international visitors and transfer passengers, with activations spanning baggage claim, arrivals and transit areas.

It combines entertainment, interactive experiences and complimentary food and refreshments, as Dubai Airports seeks to create moments of connection across different stages of the passenger journey.

Live musical performances serenade arriving and transferring travellers adding a cultural dimension to the campaign

In the arrivals area, mascots from Dubai Police and the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs (GDIFA) greet younger travellers.

Families and friends meeting arriving passengers can create personalised signs at the Make Your Welcome Home Sign station, using stickers and Dubai-inspired embellishments.

The welcome experience extends to the Dubai Taxi area, where passengers are offered complimentary refreshments, cold towels and treats supplied by Mirzam, Emirati District, Emirates Flight Catering and oneDXB partners.

Transfer passengers are welcomed with a live musical performance inspired by sounds from across the region. At the transfer desks, Project Chaiwala, Mirzam, Emirati District and Garrett Popcorn are providing complimentary refreshments and treats.

A key interactive element is the I Heart DXB installation near Gate B28. Travellers can upload a selfie to become part of a collective portrait of Dubai rendered in the colours of the UAE flag.

The installation also features a wall where passengers can leave handwritten messages, alongside limited-edition stickers and pins available to collect.

Dubai Airports Vice President Brand and Communications Michelle Lee commented, “DXB is the gateway to Dubai and for many guests their first point of connection with the city.

“From the moment people arrive or travel through the airport, we want those moments to reflect what makes Dubai distinctive: its energy, warmth, diversity and the people who bring the city to life. Whether a guest is returning home or simply spending only a few hours with us between flights, our focus is on turning everyday touchpoints into meaningful, memorable experiences.”
