Dubai Duty Free wins GCC Best Employer Brand Award

UAE. Dubai Duty Free has won the Best Employer Brand Award from the Employer Branding Institute.

Dubai Duty Free was recognised at the GCC Best Employer Brand Awards ceremony, held at Taj Dubai on 6 October, for creating “a distinct identity that is visible through its Human Resources practices, policies and strategies, making Dubai Duty Free one of the most sought after employers of choice”.

Dubai Duty Free Executive Vice Chairman Colm McLoughlin said: “We are delighted to receive this award as it reflects our commitment and continuous effort to invest in our 6,000 staff by empowering them through a variety of initiatives that provide career opportunities that allow them to reach their full potential.”

The winners were chosen based on the recommendations submitted by a research cell comprising of professionals from different parts of the GCC. The chairperson of the cell reviews recommendations before a judging panel, consisting of senior leaders, researchers and academics including prominent personalities from various fields.

The GCC Best Employer Brand Awards were hosted by the Employer Branding Institute and Stars of the Industry Group, with CHRO Asia as a Strategic Partner and endorsed by the Asian Confederation of Businesses.

Dubai Duty Free Vice President, Human Resources Nic Bruwer was on hand to receive the award on behalf of the company, which was presented by Ken Shelton, Founder, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of Executive Excellence Publishing.
