IRELAND. State-owned airport company DAA has called tenders for news & books, health & beauty and gifts & souvenirs concessions at Dublin Airport Terminal 1. Each of the concessions runs for five years.
DAA is seeking offers for its main books, news & confectionery contract, which includes four stores airside and one landside, with WHSmith the incumbent. Sales under this concession in 2017 were €14.7 million. The bid deadline is 5 March.
The airport company is also seeking interest from potential partners for a health & beauty store, located on ‘The Street’ airside in T1. Sales in 2017 were €8.36 million. The bid deadline is 5 March.
Also available is a contract for a branded Irish gifts & souvenir store in the T1 extension airside. Sales were €1.7 million in 2017. The bid deadline is 8 March.
