The first shop, already open, offers wines & spirits, tobacco, accessories and medium-priced watches. Dufry plans to open the other parts of the duty free area, including mini boutiques representing top fashion and accessory brands, as well as a large fragrances and cosmetics section.
The Terminal C retail offer will be serviced by a 200-strong team with a strong emphasis on high quality service and customer satisfaction.
Sheremetyevo Airport said that Dufry had been selected as the exclusive operator for Terminal C after an open tender. A statement from the airport’s General Director said: “For the airport it is very important that Dufry not only provides a high level of passenger service, but [also that it] shows the best correlation with the international requirements for aviation security.”
Dufry CEO Julián Diaz commented: “We are pleased to expand our operations in Russia as it is one of the most dynamically developing markets. We are dedicated to our strategy of enhancing our concession portfolio and presence in markets with growth potential such as Russia as well as tourist destinations.”
