SINGAPORE. Dufry Singapore has unveiled details of its three latest concessions to have been awarded at Singapore Changi Airport, as first revealed on The Moodie Report.
The three new contracts cover photographic equipment, a Bijoux Terner boutique and confectionery/foodstuffs.
The photographic equipment shop will be located in T1 and begin operating on 1 May. The 91sq m store will offer the latest state-of-the art photographic equipment and accessories. Dufry currently operates three related shops at Changi; one in T1 and two in T2 with a total retail space of around 870sq m. The shops offer an extensive range of lifestyle electronics, computers and computer accessories.
As reported, Dufry Singapore also won one of the five brand name concessions which went to tender earlier this year. The company is offering the Bijoux Terner single price concept: presenting an extensive range of products for S$20 (US11.80). The two categories that will be introduced are the “˜Classical’ Bijoux Terner, featuring custom jewellery, shawls, sunglasses and watches as well as the “˜Bijoux Home’ collection, comprising home accessories, cutlery sets, crockery sets, all in ultra-modern and contemporary design and packed in a gift form. The 50sq m shop will be located in the T2 departure/transit lounge and will open on 1 July.
The confectionery concession consists of two shops offering a wide range of chocolates and delicacies. Both are in T2. The first is 68sq m and will open in mid-May. The second 225sq m store is expected to open in mid-July.
Dufry chief operations officer region Eurasia & Asia René Riedi said: “We are very happy to increase our presence at Singapore Changi and would like to thank the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore for these new opportunities. Combined with our existing operations in Singapore, Cambodia and our interests for other Asian countries, our new shops at Singapore Changi create the perfect synergy and present a strong foundation for any future expansion.”
