Leon Falic: Expansion continues in Americas |
SOUTH AMERICA. Duty Free Americas is continuing its rapid expansion in the Americas and worldwide with a series of important land border duty free store openings in South America.
President Leon Falic (pictured) confirmed to The Moodie Report today: “We are opening on the Uruguay borders with Brazil.”
We understand several stores will be opened. The two countries enjoy a large land border with significant daily traffic. More details as they come to hand.
The openings are the latest in a series of expansionist moves by one of the industry’s fastest-growing players. As revealed, the company this month announced the appointment of former InterBaires President and CEO Enrique Urioste as President of the Airport Division.
And earlier this month Duty Free Americas opened its first outlet in Asia, at The Venetian Macao Resort-Hotel complex.
