UAE. Emirates Leisure Retail has unveiled two refreshed Pret A Manger stores featuring a strong sense of place at Dubai International Airport (DXB).
The units have reopened in Terminal 1 Concourse D and Terminal 3 Concourse A, following a comprehensive refurbishment.
According to ELR, the outlets, which have operated at DXB for nine and six years, respectively, have been updated to “combine Pret’s London roots with a distinctly local feel, with subtle nods to Dubai’s modern cosmopolitan character”.

More specifically, the design introduces softer, earth-toned palettes, curved counters and wood finishes “inspired by Dubai’s balance of tradition and innovation”.
Updated lighting, bespoke ceiling details and a more open, flowing layout enhance visibility and customer movement, “creating a seamless pre-flight experience”, ELR noted.
Local context guided the redesign, with materials and colour accents drawn from the desert landscape and warm golden hues of the UAE, while modern metallic trims reflect Dubai International Airport’s architectural sophistication.
The refurbishment also prioritises functionality and comfort, ELR added, delivering enhanced seating zones, faster self-service flow and efficient coffee stations to manage high passenger volumes “while maintaining Pret’s sense of hospitality”.

The T1 Pret A Manger spans 223sq m with 62 seats, while the T3 unit covers 124sq m and accommodates 60 guests.
The food & beverage offer remains broad, covering coffee, tea and hot and cold eating options, healthy choices and indulgent treats, available throughout the day.
Digital upgrades have also been implemented, including new menu screens.
Emirates Leisure Retail General Manager ME & Asia Graham Knowles told The Moodie Davitt Report: “This design direction marks a new chapter for Pret in the UAE – balancing global brand consistency with local relevance and creating a refreshed environment that resonates with travellers from all over the world while celebrating Dubai’s dynamic spirit.”
Dubai Airports VP, Concessions Management Alison Macdonald said, “Thank you to our partners at Emirates Leisure Retail for delivering fabulous new looks for a guest favourite brand.
“The uplift in design incorporates a local sense of place combining the strength of a global brand and a reflection of our place in the larger community.”
